Vapingpost:The earlier launch of 'Dr Col's Vape Truths', an evidence-based video campaign about vaping, aims to combat the ongoing rampant misinformation currently being spread by state health departments, particularly in Queensland, NSW and Western Australia.
Mendelsohn announced the campaign on his website, describing it as follows: "Dr Col's Vape Truths campaign consists of eight short videos correcting common misconceptions about vaping and is based on eight Queensland Health Authority Misleading and alarmist videos. These videos cover the following key evidence:
1 Disposable Vape Pod Vapors are far less toxic than cigarette smoke.
2 Compared with smoking, Disposable Electronic Cigarettes significantly reduce the risk of cancer.
3 Smoking nicotine does not cause serious damage to the lungs.
4 Most chemicals in Disposable Vape vapors are present in very low doses, and most have little or no hazard. "
5 There has never been a death due to nicotine use.
6 When smokers switched to Disposable Electronic Cigarettes, their breathing improved significantly.
7 E-cigarettes are not completely risk-free, but they are far safer than deadly cigarettes.
8 Most chemicals in vapors are present in very low doses, and most have little or no hazard. "
Nancy Loucas, executive coordinator of CAPHRA (Coalition of Asia Pacific Tobacco Harm Reduction Advocates), stressed the timeliness of the event. "Thankfully, the inconvenient truth about vaping has now landed on Australians' laptops, smashing all the alarmist anti-vaping propaganda peddled by health agencies and officials."
